Business Administration Apprenticeship - Rixonway Kitchens

Rixonway Kitchens have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join their team! In this role you will gain a good understanding our critical business functions, which will equip you to move into a technical, project or leadership role upon completion of your Apprenticeship.

Rixonway Kitchens, which is part of the Nobia Group, has been manufacturing quality kitchens since 1978. Over 30 years expertise and knowledge enables us to supply an extensive range of tailored carcases, ensuring each individual requirement is fulfilled. A comprehensive choice of modern and traditional door finishes is complimented with a wide selection of co-ordinating sinks, taps, worktops, handles and accessories.

 
Vacancy description

In this role you will help us to succeed by gaining a good understanding of many areas of the business under a rotation schedule in several departments:

  • Estimating – Preparing CAD drawings and quotes ready for customer orders
  • Customer Services – processing orders and liaising with customers on the process of their kitchen deliveries
  • Production Planning – understanding the production timelines and building relationships with our suppliers
  • Finance – learning about the budgeting process and helping to secure payments from customers
  • Transport – contribute to the team that arrange and deliver our kitchens to site
  • Design – Prepare and issue letters to tenants in advance of our Kitchen Design appointments

Support and contribute to many departments during short periods (3-4 months) of working within them. Being able to adapt to the different working environments & teams, and quickly pick up new tasks. Seeing the big picture, and utilising skills learnt from various managers and teams to add value to the overall business strategy. Understanding financial information and the cost implications around each business function. Contributing fully to the workload / project whilst working in each function.

Desired skills
  • The ability to communicate at all levels, and quickly build relationships with key stakeholders across different functions
  • An interest in a manufacturing organisation / process, with a long-term aspiration to work in a Leadership or technical role.
  • The ability to learn quickly and understand the purpose and scope of differing operational functions.
  • Experience of using Excel spreadsheets to analyse or record date
  • Experience of using Word Microsoft application to produce letters and other types of documentation.

Desired qualifications
  • A-Level qualifications grade A - C
  • Good GCSE’s (A-C) in Maths and English.
