Training to be provided
To complete the twelve month Driving Goods Vehicle Apprenticeship Programme gaining a level 2 Certificate in Driving Goods Vehicles, Level 2 Award in Employee Rights and Responsibilities and where identified Functional skills. Secure a category C+E driving licence, in order to become a competent LGV C+E Driver.
8:30am till 4:30pm (37.5 hours) Flexibility is required as the transport department deliver 24 hours a day, across 7 days of the week. Where shifts are worked the appropriate shift premium will be paid.
£195.00 per week, once qualified to C licence increase to £300.00pw increase to £385.00pw when qualified and passed C+E licence at approximately 9 months.

Category B (car) Licence with no endorsements. No formal qualifications required just a genuine interest in the area and a passion to succeed.
At the end of the apprenticeship an LGV Driving role with Primary Transport should be achieved. A variety of driving roles exist across the John Lewis, Retail division and the Waitrose Food division. The diverse nature of the Partnership means that opportunities to work in other areas of the business are a possibility; these could include working at National Distribution Centres, Customer Delivery Hubs, Regional Distribution Centres, National Distribution Centre or selling Branches.
